Celebrate 2027, the Year of the Sheep, with this beautifully detailed zodiac display from Yakushigama, a Japanese ceramic brand by Chugai Toen.
This substantial sheep figurine features an elegant white body with sculpted gold-colored horns and a richly decorated red and gold ceremonial covering. A traditional Hamaya lucky arrow rests across its back together with a small plaque bearing the character 福 (Fuku), meaning "good fortune."
In Japanese zodiac tradition, the sheep is associated with peace, harmony, and prosperity. The Hamaya is a traditional Japanese New Year symbol associated with protection from misfortune, adding another layer of auspicious meaning to the display.
Presented with a gold-colored folding screen, red mat, black display base, and Yakushigama wooden plaque, the complete arrangement has a strong visual presence. Its substantial size and elaborate detailing make it especially suited as a centerpiece for a Japanese New Year display, while also offering a distinctive piece of Japanese seasonal decor.
